Description For Graduate Research Engineer

Living Optics is seeking a Graduate Research Engineer to join their Research and Development (R&D) team. As a key member, you will play a crucial role in advancing capabilities in hardware characterization and experimental applications. This exciting opportunity is perfect for a graduate passionate about hands-on experimentation and eager to grow in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Conducting hands-on data collection and analysis
  • Interfacing with lab equipment and participating in experiment setup and execution
  • Assisting in project management tasks, including supplier liaison and component sourcing
  • Characterizing optical designs and contributing to hardware performance evaluation
  • Continuously developing scientific and data analysis skills

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum of a bachelor's level qualification in a technical subject
  • Strong foundation in programming (Python or C preferred)
  • Ability to conduct experiments, run tests, and evaluate results scientifically
  • Hands-on approach, enjoying lab or field work with equipment
  • Must be within commuting distance of the office
