Description For Solutions Engineer - West Coast (MT/PST)

Locus Robotics is a leader in the rapidly growing eCommerce order fulfillment optimization space. Our solution helps warehouse owners attain 2-3X efficiency over cart-picking operations by empowering pickers to work collaboratively with our robots, while integrating with the operator's Warehouse Management System and using and optimizing existing facility infrastructure.

As a Solutions Engineer at Locus Robotics, you will work closely with the Sales Team to build and close business by providing deep technical support for our ecommerce fulfilment solution focused around collaborative, autonomous robotics. Your responsibilities will include developing concept system designs, providing technical support during sales calls and product demonstrations, facilitating system demonstrations and site visits, performing data analysis, and supporting proposal development.

This role offers an opportunity to join a smart team deploying cutting-edge technology to address real-world logistics challenges for major global brands. You'll be at the forefront of warehouse automation, working with WMS integrations, and utilizing tools like FlexSim, CAD software, SQL, Python, and PowerBI.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of the logistics and ecommerce market, experience with warehouse automation solutions, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. This role involves 10% to 30% travel, allowing you to directly engage with prospects and customers, represent Locus Robotics at trade shows, and provide on-site support.

Responsibilities For Solutions Engineer - West Coast (MT/PST)

  • Develop concept system designs including robot counts, productivity estimates and description of operations
  • Provide technical support and insight on discovery and roadmap calls
  • Facilitate system demonstrations and site visits for prospects
  • Perform data analysis to assess requirements
  • Support the sales team in proposal development including ROI and savings estimates
  • Support implementations with customer's technical staff
  • Provide technical context in competitive comparison calls
  • Represent Locus Robotics in onsite customer visits and at trade shows

Requirements For Solutions Engineer - West Coast (MT/PST)

Python
  • Bachelor's Degree required (Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related degree a plus)
  • Strong understanding of logistics and ecommerce market
  • Experience with warehouse automation solutions
  • Experience with WMS and related logistics business software
  • Competent with Microsoft Office
  • Prior work experience using CAD software
  • Proficient English written and verbal communications skills
  • Ability to work in fast paced team environment
  • Willingness to travel 10-30% of the time
