Backend Engineer

As a Backend Engineer at Magic Eden, you'll be at the forefront of building scalable systems for the NFT ecosystem. You'll work with cutting-edge technologies to solve novel problems in the web3 space. Your role will be crucial in our mission to bring NFTs to people's everyday lives and onboard the next billion users to the blockchain.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop new services using Node.JS to meet critical product and business needs
• Design scalable systems using modern cloud technology and industry best practices
• Articulate long-term visions for maintaining and scaling our backend systems
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn our product and technical vision into tangible roadmaps
• Write high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs

Ideal Candidate:

• 6+ years of software engineering experience
• Strong background in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services
• Experience with service-oriented architecture
• Passion for building an open financial system
• Experience with rapid company growth (startup to mid-size) is a plus
• Familiarity with growth experiments or A/B testing frameworks
• Knowledge of Blockchain technology (Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum)
• Experience decomposing large monoliths into microservices
• Proficiency with AWS, Web3.js, NodeJS, Postgres, MongoDB
• Background in financial, high reliability, or security systems
