The role combines both design and development responsibilities, focusing on creating visually stunning, responsive user interfaces while leveraging Optimizely for web content management and personalization. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience and strong technical skills in modern front-end technologies including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and popular frameworks like React.
Key aspects of the role include developing responsive websites, implementing Optimizely CMS features, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and optimizing code performance. The position requires both technical expertise and design sensibility, as the developer will work on translating mockups into functioning interfaces and lead UX reviews for the Manhattan.com domain.

Responsibilities For Front-End Designer & Developer
- Develop high-quality, responsive websites and web applications
- Leverage Optimizely CMS and features to build, optimize, and maintain digital platforms
- Work with internal digital team on mockups and wireframes
- Collaborate with marketing, design, and back-end development teams
- Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code
- Diagnose and resolve front-end issues
- Assist content managers and marketing teams with CMS platform
Requirements For Front-End Designer & Developer
- 5+ years of professional front-end development and design experience
- Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frameworks
- Strong understanding of Optimizely CMS platform
- Experience with Optimizely A/B testing and personalization
- Familiarity with responsive design principles
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and accessibility standards
- Experience with version control systems
- Familiarity with design tools (Figma, Adobe XD, or Sketch)
- Strong interpersonal skills and collaboration abilities
- Experience with cloud-based architecture, specifically Azure
