Description For DevOps Engineer

Based in Ann Arbor, Michigan, we develop and deploy autonomous vehicles (AVs) using our innovative Multi-Policy Decision Making (MPDM) technology. Our mission goes beyond self-driving cars; we aim to bridge public transit gaps, reduce congestion, and foster livable spaces.

As a DevOps Engineer at May Mobility, you'll play a crucial role in shaping our DevOps strategy and implementing best practices across the organization. You'll work with various teams to support, build, and deliver solutions primarily in AWS environments. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Defining and implementing the overall DevOps strategy
  2. Administering multiple Public Cloud accounts
  3. Implementing secure and scalable solutions in Public Cloud
  4. Providing recommendations for deployment architecture and process improvements
  5. Building pipelines for infrastructure and application deployment
  6. Implementing infrastructure as code using Terraform or Cloud Formation
  7. Creating and refactoring build jobs using GitLab and Jenkins
  8. Troubleshooting issues across Public Cloud services
  9. Promoting development best practices
  10. Developing containerized solutions
  11. Participating in on-call and incident response

To excel in this role, you should have:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of public cloud providers (AWS preferred)
  • Experience with IaC tools like Terraform or Cloud Formation
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development
  • Linux system administration skills
  • Strong scripting/programming abilities (Shell, Python, etc.)
  • Experience with container orchestration (Kubernetes preferred)
