Responsibilities For Product Design Engineer (University Grad)

  • Contribute to mechanical solutions as part of a highly cross-functional team
  • Model, build, test, and refine prototypes and characterization test systems
  • Work across the full product development cycle, from concept inception to shipping product
  • Collaborate and manage work with Asia-based Supply Chain
  • Push state-of-the-art technologies and approaches to solving complex mechanical problems
  • Design modules and subsystems using CAD software
  • Travel to external vendors up to 15%

Requirements For Product Design Engineer (University Grad)

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Understanding of material properties, including plastics, metals, adhesives, and glass
  • Familiarity with design for manufacturability (DFM), design for assembly (DFA), and statistical tolerance analysis
  • Experience with high-volume manufacturing techniques
  • Demonstrated understanding of mechanical constraints systems, part tolerancing, and assembly stackups
  • Experience working independently, navigating ambiguous situations, and driving projects forward
  • 1+ year Experience with engineering fundamentals
  • Experience working and communicating cross-functionally in a team environment
  • Must obtain work authorization in country of employment
