Silicon-Proto Lab Manager

Meta Reality Labs focuses on connecting people through Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR). The Silicon End-to-End (E2E) System Prototyping and Validation team seeks a Lab Manager to oversee the operation of FAST's silicon-proto labs across different sites. The position requires a leader who can manage priorities, distribute resources across a portfolio of short/mid/long-term lab projects, and has experience working with different engineering teams to manage labs' daily operations to meet Meta's lab safety and security guidelines while facilitating efficient development and testing environments.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading a team of support staff/technicians and overseeing operations of FAST's silicon-proto labs across different sites
• Planning and executing lab projects including expansion, equipment management, and lab network/security/IT interface
• Driving lab space, safety, regulatory, and security processes compliance
• Working with software infrastructure teams to deploy standard lab environments
• Collaborating with cross-functional engineering managers across multiple disciplines
• Understanding silicon chip validation, electronics components, schematics, PCB layouts, and product assembly
• Domestic travel 10%

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering related field or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in silicon/EE/HW lab setup, management, and maintenance
• Experience with lab PO process
• Hands-on experience with common benchtop equipment and consumer hardware teardown, solder, and rework

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with silicon chip bring-up and validation process
• Scripting skills for equipment automation and data processing
• Familiarity with high speed IO bring-ups, FPGA systems, and prototypes
• Experience with Synopsys HAPS Systems, configuring and deploying servers
• Experience working in an agile environment and with cross-functional partners
