Cloud & AI Solution Engineer - Azure Platform

Microsoft's Defense Industrial Base (DIB) Operating Unit is seeking a Cloud & AI Solution Engineer for their Azure Platform team. This role combines technical expertise with customer-facing responsibilities, focusing on helping organizations modernize their infrastructure and leverage Microsoft's cloud capabilities.

As a Cloud & AI Solution Engineer, you'll be instrumental in driving technical sales and architecture for Microsoft's cloud solutions. You'll work with a diverse network of over 100,000 organizations in manufacturing, aviation, cybersecurity, and other sectors supporting U.S. federal agencies, including the Department of Defense and intelligence organizations.

The position requires deep technical knowledge in cloud infrastructure, particularly in migrating and modernizing core workloads like Windows, SQL Server, Linux, and PostgreSQL to Azure. You'll design and implement secure, scalable architectures that support AI workloads and business-critical applications, while ensuring compliance with federal security requirements.

Key responsibilities include leading technical demonstrations, proof of concepts, and architecture sessions to accelerate Azure adoption. You'll collaborate with platform leads to design secure, scalable solutions and resolve technical challenges through engineering partnerships. The role involves maintaining expertise in cloud migration, security, and compliance while staying current with enterprise applications like SAP and Oracle.

The position offers competitive compensation ranging from $85,100 to $203,600 per year (higher in SF and NYC areas), along with comprehensive benefits including healthcare, educational resources, and parental leave.
