Cloud & AI Solution Engineer – Data Platform

Microsoft is seeking a Cloud & AI Solution Engineer specializing in Data Platform to join their team in Sydney. This role sits at the intersection of cloud technology, databases, and AI, focusing on helping commercial customers leverage Microsoft's comprehensive database and analytics stack.

The position involves working with Microsoft's rich portfolio of IaaS and PaaS services on the Azure Platform, specifically in the Databases & Analytics space. As a Solution Engineer, you'll be instrumental in helping enterprises maximize the potential of Microsoft's cloud database and analytics stack throughout their deployment journey.

Your responsibilities will include conducting hands-on engagements such as Proof of Concepts, hackathons, and architecture workshops. You'll work closely with engineering leaders and platform teams to accelerate the Fabric Data Platform, including Azure Databases and Analytics. The ideal candidate will have expert-level knowledge of Azure Databases (SQL DB, Cosmos DB, PostgreSQL) and Azure Analytics (Fabric, Azure Databricks, Purview), along with understanding of competitor platforms. You'll need to demonstrate strong technical pre-sales experience and the ability to lead technical engagements that drive production-scale outcomes.

This hybrid role offers up to 50% work from home flexibility and requires 0-25% travel.
