The Secure Admin Services (SAS) team, part of Microsoft's CISO organization, is looking for a Site Reliability Engineer II to join their dynamic team.
As a Site Reliability Engineer II, you will:
- Champion critical engineering programs, platforms, and services
- Manage large-scale distributed systems
- Transform business and security challenges into technical solutions
- Apply expert-level knowledge of networking (TCP/IP, DNS, Load Balancing, VPNs, Proxy etc.)
- Design and implement networking solutions for reliability and scalability across public and private cloud platforms
- Work with cloud virtualization technologies
- Lead incident responses, perform root-cause analysis, and implement improvements
- Drive reliability and performance through proactive monitoring, alerting, and process automation
- Collaborate with engineering teams to build tools and processes for reliability
- Configure and design end-to-end service telemetry, smart alerting, and self-healing capabilities
The ideal candidate will have:
- 4+ years of technical experience in software engineering, network engineering, or systems administration
- 3+ years of expertise in networking implementation and troubleshooting
- 3+ years of experience working on cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
- 3+ years of experience in desktop or application virtualization using Azure Virtual Desktop
- 2+ years of experience with Active Directory and Entra ID Authentication
