Software Engineer Backend

Motive is seeking a talented and motivated Senior Software Engineer to join their dynamic team. The role involves turning product ideas into reality by designing components and services for new feature developments in the Device Experience team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in backend engineering, excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities include:

• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and document scalable solutions
• Writing secure, maintainable code for the platform that provides real-time visibility into fleet equipment health
• Building scalable API interfaces for internal and external applications and services
• Implementing appropriate monitoring, logging, and debugging for system health
• Working on AWS cloud infrastructure
• Mentoring and learning from other developers in the engineering organization

Qualifications:

• B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science or related field
• 5+ years of software development experience
• Affinity for creating extensible, performant, and readable software
• Experience in building product infrastructure, distributed systems, and data models
• Proficiency in Ruby on Rails, Go Lang, Java, or similar languages
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Redis, Cassandra)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure such as AWS, GCP, Azure, or private clouds
