Full Stack Software Engineer (L5), Privacy Engineering

Netflix is seeking a Senior Fullstack Software Engineer to build privacy engineering solutions across their entire infrastructure. This role involves partnering with engineers, data scientists, TPMs, and core legal to conceptualize, prototype, develop, optimize, and deliver high-performing and scalable privacy solutions for all Netflix customers. The Privacy Engineering organization is dedicated to ensuring safe & efficient data use across Netflix, with the Privacy Infrastructure Engineering team playing a key role in this mission. The team works closely with colleagues in privacy engineering to design and build privacy and data protection solutions for the entire company. They promote privacy-enhancing designs, set engineering standards, and build systems to ensure Netflix is managing data correctly. Desired background:

• Passion for privacy and data protection
• Highly skilled full stack engineer with strong experience in Java, GraphQL, Spring, React, Javascript, CSS, and HTML
• Strong knowledge of building RESTful APIs and gRPC for internal or external products
• Passion for building quality products and owning product development end-to-end
• Bias towards action and comfort navigating through ambiguous environments
• Ability to communicate complex technical topics to diverse audiences
