Responsibilities For Network Reliability Engineer (L5) Live Broadcast

  • Build and operate infrastructure for Netflix Live Acquisition
  • Innovate, design, implement infrastructure supporting live signal acquisition, inspection, validation, and distribution
  • Drive improvement in monitoring, configuration management, instrumentation, and automation
  • Utilize infrastructure as code to operate and scale the environment
  • Leverage distributed analytic processing technologies
  • Partner with support teams to improve Netflix experience
  • Support Live events and operations teams as technical expert
  • Participate in on-call rotation

Requirements For Network Reliability Engineer (L5) Live Broadcast

  • BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Computer Engineering (or equivalent professional experience)
  • Expert-level knowledge of networking technologies
  • Strong Service Reliability/Operational experience running large-scale infrastructure

  • Expertise in IP based Broadcast technologies and protocols (SMPTE, SCTE, NMOS PTP)
