Description For Software Engineer (L4) Trust & Safety

Netflix is seeking a Software Engineer (L4) for their Trust & Safety team, focusing on building and operating production quality systems at Netflix scale for detection and prevention across the fraud landscape, with an initial focus on DDoS. The role involves enhancing efficiency and performance of fraud services, combating at-scale fraud schemes, and ensuring minimal tech debt. The Trust Services and Enforcement team, part of the broader Trust & Safety organization, sets strategic vision in trust and safety, addressing problems related to account takeover, service abuse, customer-targeted scams, DDoS, content theft, and more.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing software for at-scale fraud detection and prevention
  • Executing short and long-term technical goals
  • Collaborating effectively within and across teams
  • Operational coverage to ensure service nimbleness

Desired skills:

  • Passion for customer protection
  • 2+ years experience with Java for backend development
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts
  • Prior experience in security (preferred)

The compensation structure includes an annual salary range of $100,000 - $720,000, with the option to choose between salary and stock options.
