Software Engineer L5, Dev Spaces

Netflix, a global entertainment leader with 300M+ subscribers, is seeking a Staff Software Engineer (L5) for their Dev Spaces team. This role is central to Netflix's developer productivity initiative, focusing on creating industry-leading development environments and tooling.

The Dev Spaces team's mission is to enhance Netflix's software delivery capabilities by providing cutting-edge developer tools, IDEs, Cloud Development Environments, and AI Coding assistants. As a Staff Engineer, you'll be responsible for designing and implementing developer tooling, mentoring colleagues, and creating systems that provide appropriate tool sets for various development needs. The role requires expertise in multiple programming languages including Go, TypeScript, and Java, and involves working across the full stack from IDE plugins to cloud infrastructure.

The ideal candidate brings experience in developer productivity tooling, familiarity with AI coding assistants, and strong communication skills. The role offers exposure to cutting-edge technology in developer productivity, including Gen AI for software development, IDE extensions, and Cloud Development Environments.
