Netflix is seeking a Security Software Engineer to architect and implement security features for the Open Connect (OC) edge appliances. This role is critical in maintaining the efficiency and security of Netflix's content delivery network (CDN) that delivers all of Netflix's streaming video. The ideal candidate will collaborate with internal stakeholders, implement security enhancements, assist developers in secure design, act as a security liaison, assist with incident response, and develop automated systems to test for vulnerabilities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Evaluating, designing, and enhancing the security posture of OC server platforms
- Implementing security enhancements using kernel and user-space development, configuration changes, and hardware-based security features
- Providing guidance on secure feature design
- Assisting with incident response and analyzing new security bugs
- Developing automated vulnerability testing systems

- Proven track record in architecting and implementing impactful security features
- Experience with operating system execution environments (containers, virtual machines)
- Success in cross-functional security improvements
