Netflix, the world's leading entertainment service with 283 million paid memberships, is seeking a Staff UI Engineer to join their JS Platform organization. This role focuses on the UI Paved Road initiative within the JavaScript Platform team, working on their internal design system (Hawkins Professional) and developing a new inner source platform for UI components.

The position offers a unique opportunity to shape the future of UI development at Netflix, working with a passionate international team. As part of the JS Platform organization, you'll be responsible for empowering UI application teams by creating tools and technologies that enhance developer productivity and happiness.

The role combines technical expertise with strategic influence, requiring not just coding skills but the ability to collaborate with various stakeholders and drive cultural change. You'll be instrumental in building comprehensive tooling used by hundreds of engineers, focusing on component discovery, publishing, and lifecycle management.

Key aspects of the role include developing scalable solutions, working cross-functionally with System Designers and UI Engineers, creating comprehensive documentation, and staying current with industry trends. The ideal candidate will have strong experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, React, and component library development, coupled with excellent communication skills.
