Responsibilities For Software Functional Safety Engineer

  • Software design and development for automotive systems firmware through product lifecycle
  • Ensure functional safety compliance (ISO26262) for the software
  • Ensure system software stack compliance to security standard ISO21434
  • Work with safety engineers and architects across software stack components
  • Collaborate with hardware team for functional safety compliant solutions
  • Coordinate with multi-functional engineering teams to meet customer requirements

Requirements For Software Functional Safety Engineer

  • BS or MS degree or equivalent experience in EE/CS/CE
  • 3+ years of experience
  • Expertise in embedded system software development for SoC products
  • Understanding of low level boot software and boot flows in SoC products
  • Knowledge of functional safety (ISO26262) and Security (ISO21434) standards
  • Excellent scripting skills, advanced Python programming and debugging skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good work ethics, team-work, dedication, and ownership
