System Software Engineer - AI

NVIDIA, the leading AI computing company, is seeking a Senior Systems Software Engineer for their Windows AI team (WinAI). This role focuses on solving challenges related to client-side AI on Windows PCs, dealing with limited compute and memory resources, and optimizing AI model execution across local devices like GPUs and NPUs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Partnering with NVIDIA teams to align strategies for AI on Windows RTX PCs
• Analyzing and optimizing AI models and inference backends
• Implementing compute and memory optimization techniques
• Collaborating on GenAI projects and developing reference projects
• Fine-tuning AI models and applying compression techniques
• Working with Microsoft to advance AI frameworks and platforms
• Ensuring robust automated testing

Requirements:

• Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Computer Science or related field
• Excellent C++ programming and debugging skills
• 4+ years of experience with AI inferencing pipelines and frameworks
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
• Outstanding communication skills

Preferred qualifications:

• Understanding of modern ML, Deep Neural Networks, and Generative AI
• Experience with open-source projects
• Proficiency in lower-level system/GPU programming and CUDA
• Hands-on experience with various AI APIs and frameworks
