Description For Service and Repair Engineer

Octopus Energy Group is seeking an experienced Service and Repair Engineer to join their mission of driving the global renewable energy revolution. This role focuses on maintaining and servicing low-carbon technology, particularly Air Source Heat Pumps, for customers.

As a Heat Pump Service and Maintenance Engineer, you'll be responsible for:

  • Carrying out service activities, diagnosing faults, repairing, and commissioning products on-site
  • Supporting the aftercare team as a second-level technical advisor
  • Providing technical advice and resolving issues via phone, email, or direct site contact
  • Advising customers on system setup and operation

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Several years of experience in installation and/or maintenance of HVAC equipment
  • Ability to diagnose and repair faults, particularly electrical fault finding
  • Domestic hot & cold-water system knowledge
  • Minimum NVQ level 2 (or equivalent experience) in Plumbing and Heating
  • A full clean Driving Licence (no more than 6 points)

Additional qualifications that would be beneficial include:

  • WRAS Water Supply Regs
  • UHW10/HWSS Unvented DHW Storage Systems
  • Gas safe certification
  • BPEC L3 or equivalent in heat pump installation
  • F-Gas certification
  • Part L Energy Efficiency

Octopus Energy offers a competitive compensation package:

  • Basic salary £38,000 per year
  • On target earnings £45,000 + London weighting if living within M25
