Full Stack Developer - NodeJS (Contract)

Optery is seeking an experienced full stack engineer specializing in Node.js for a remote position. The role offers significant autonomy and influence, working directly with founders to build consumer data privacy software.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience in backend or full-stack engineering, with strong expertise in NodeJS. Key technical requirements include experience with asynchronous job execution, various databases (Postgres, Redis, ElasticSearch, MongoDB, Cassandra), and cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure). Knowledge of Kubernetes, microservices, and API integrations is essential.

Optery has shown impressive growth, tripling revenue in the last year and receiving multiple accolades including PCMag "Editors' Choice" for three consecutive years. The company has raised $6M in seed funding from notable investors including Y Combinator and has completed AICPA SOC 2, Type II security certification.

The role offers competitive compensation ($60K-$85K), paid time off, and a home office setup stipend. As a fully-remote global team headquartered in the San Francisco Bay Area, you'll work closely with engineering leaders in Tel Aviv, Israel.

The position requires excellent communication skills, customer empathy, and the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the team. Experience in consumer privacy or consumer data industries is a plus, as is knowledge of Python and automation tools.
