Description For DevSecOps Engineer

Orkes is seeking its first DevSecOps engineering professional to join the Engineering team. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced culture valuing essential communication, collaboration, and results. This self-motivated, detail-oriented individual should have an eye for automation, process improvement, and problem-solving. The role offers the opportunity to influence engineering and set security standards for the company.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Integrating security into software development processes
  2. Ensuring cloud infrastructure security across major providers
  3. Managing vulnerabilities and remediation
  4. Developing and maintaining automation scripts for security tasks
  5. Securing containerized applications and microservices
  6. Incident detection and response
  7. Ensuring compliance with security policies and industry standards
  8. Collaborating with developers and conducting security training
  9. Setting up and maintaining centralized logging and monitoring
  10. Continuously improving security measures and staying updated on trends

Required skills:

  • 7+ years of experience in DevSecOps or related roles
  • Strong understanding of DevSecOps practices
  • Experience with major cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Proficiency with infrastructure-as-code tools
  • Familiarity with Java/Golang/C++
  • Experience with security tools, container security, and scripting
  • Knowledge of version control, CI/CD, and compliance standards
