Description For Data Engineer

Palantir Technologies is seeking a Data Engineer to join their Product Development Data Applications and Analytics Team (PDAAT). This role offers an exciting opportunity to work with one of the world's leading data-driven software companies, where you'll be instrumental in analyzing and optimizing Palantir's internal strategic and tactical performance.

As a Data Engineer, you'll work directly with leadership and cross-functional teams to measure and evaluate critical aspects of Palantir's operations. Your responsibilities will include analyzing cloud utilization, user metrics, stability KPIs, and implementing cost optimizations. You'll be using Palantir's own platforms to create custom applications, activate data insights, and drive day-to-day outcomes.

The position offers a unique blend of technical and business impact, where you'll be architecting custom KPIs, combining various data sources, and providing crucial insights that influence decision-making across the organization. You'll need to be comfortable working in a data-rich, dynamic environment and excel at cross-timezone collaborations.

This role is perfect for someone with 1-3 years of experience who has a strong foundation in Python and SQL, along with a degree in a quantitative field. You'll be working in a hybrid setting in New York, with competitive compensation ranging from $90,000 to $145,000 per year, plus additional benefits including equity and comprehensive healthcare.

The impact of your work will be far-reaching, as you'll be helping to improve the same platforms that Palantir's customers use to develop lifesaving drugs, forecast supply chain disruptions, and locate missing children. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who loves bringing order to ambiguity and wants to make a meaningful impact at a world-changing company.
