Senior Software Engineer, Backend - CONTRACT

PathAI is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for a Backend CONTRACT position with potential to go permanent. We're on a mission to improve patient outcomes using AI-powered pathology, focusing on enhancing diagnosis accuracy and treatment efficacy for diseases like cancer.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be integral to our growing software platform. You'll work with technologies like Python, FastAPI, Kafka, and PostgreSQL to solve complex problems and make a significant impact. Your responsibilities will include building and refactoring features, working across various systems and technologies, driving architecture decisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and upholding high engineering standards.

We're looking for someone with 5+ years of experience, typically with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. You should have an insatiable curiosity and the ability to learn quickly in our complex field. You'll be involved in developing medical software, implementing backend services using HL7 standards, and creating data pipelines with Kafka.
