As a Senior Software Engineer, you'll be integral to our growing software platform. You'll work with technologies like Python, FastAPI, Kafka, and PostgreSQL to solve complex problems and make a significant impact. Your responsibilities will include building and refactoring features, working across various systems and technologies, driving architecture decisions, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and upholding high engineering standards.
We're looking for someone with 5+ years of experience, typically with a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience. You should have an insatiable curiosity and the ability to learn quickly in our complex field. You'll be involved in developing medical software, implementing backend services using HL7 standards, and creating data pipelines with Kafka.

Responsibilities For Senior Software Engineer, Backend - CONTRACT
- Solve interesting problems with code
- Build new features for internal and external users, and refactor existing ones
- Work with a wide range of systems, processes, and technologies
- Drive the architecture of our application platform
- Collaborate with product, design, front-end, machine learning, and infrastructure teams
- Drive and uphold high engineering standards
- Mentor, learn, and share knowledge with others
- Contribute to the development of software as a medical device
- Design and implement backend services for the integration of IMS with LIS using HL7 standards
- Develop data pipelines and interfaces using Kafka
Requirements For Senior Software Engineer, Backend - CONTRACT
- 5+ years of experience in the field
- Generally, a bachelor's degree (or equivalent years of experience)
- An insatiable intellectual curiosity and the ability to learn quickly in a complex space
