Plaid, a fintech company headquartered in San Francisco, is seeking an Enterprise Sales Engineer specializing in Banking and Wealth. This role is pivotal in unlocking and empowering prospects' full potential on the Plaid Network. As the technical lead during the pre-sales process, you'll work closely with the Banking and Wealth Sales team, partnering with Account Executives to overcome technical objections and evangelize Plaid solutions to both technical and non-technical customer stakeholders.
Your responsibilities include guiding customers through thorough technical scoping, ensuring foundational architectural decisions set them up for long-term success. You'll also facilitate a smooth transition to the post-sale stage and drive adoption of new products by existing customers. This role requires significant knowledge of the financial services industry and a deep understanding of how clients can best utilize Plaid's offerings.
The ideal candidate will have 5-7+ years of customer-facing experience selling to large enterprises, preferably in the financial services sector. You should possess a strong sense of customer empathy, combine business acumen with technical expertise, and have excellent communication skills. Knowledge of web services, APIs, and mobile/web application architecture is crucial.
Plaid offers a competitive salary range of $126,252 - $189,000 per year, with additional compensation in the form of equity and/or commission. The company provides a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, vision, and 401(k). This hybrid position is based in New York City, with some travel required.
