Systems Engineer

Platinum Technologies is seeking a Systems Engineer to support their Program (DES), a growing program with exciting opportunities for career growth. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in designing and planning system migration, with hands-on experience operating systems and server hardware.

Key responsibilities include:

• Documenting existing infrastructure configuration, requirements, and overall architecture
• Developing plans to migrate current infrastructure into a singular architecture
• Designing solutions, integrating, configuring, testing, and deploying server-based applications
• Optimizing system performance and migration workflows
• Conducting data captures for computing performance and system configuration
• Defining migration plans for complex n-tier applications and services
• Forecasting long-term capacity and performance requirements

Required skills:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in STEM field with relevant experience
• Active DoD IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+)
• Experience with documentation tools like Visio, PowerPoint, Gliffy, Cameo, MagicDraw
• Requirements management and analysis experience
• Technical troubleshooting skills
• Experience with migration planning or technology refresh
• Broad exposure to IT infrastructure with depth in at least one area
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
