Description For (AIPC) USB/PCIE SW Customer Support Engineer, up to Sr. (Taipei)

Qualcomm, a leading technology innovator, is seeking a Senior USB/PCIE Software Customer Support Engineer in Taipei. This role is part of the Customer Engineering team working with world-leading Windows on Snapdragon (WoS)/Chrome compute device makers.

The position combines technical expertise in USB and PCIe protocols with customer-facing responsibilities. You'll be instrumental in supporting the design, development, and commercial launch of Qualcomm's compute SoC products. The role requires deep technical knowledge of USB/PCIe protocols, compliance testing, and system integration, along with strong programming skills in C/C++.

As a Customer Support Engineer, you'll bridge the gap between customers and internal development teams, providing technical training, assisting with software feature design, and resolving integration challenges. You'll need to understand customer requirements thoroughly and communicate effectively with internal product teams on hardware and software design issues.

The ideal candidate should have 4-5 years of experience in software development, particularly in C/C++ programming and debugging. Knowledge of Windows/ACPI/UEFI is advantageous. An MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science is preferred, though candidates with a bachelor's degree and relevant experience will be considered.

  • Provide training to customers
  • Assist customers with software feature design
  • Integration, development, and system debugging on OEM designs
  • Handle customer Q&A and work closely with internal developers
  • Communicate with internal product & development teams on HW/SW design related issues

Requirements For (AIPC) USB/PCIE SW Customer Support Engineer, up to Sr. (Taipei)

Linux
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • 4-5 years experience in C/C++ Programming and debugging
  • Familiarity with USB protocols and link training process
  • Experience with USB electric compliance tests
  • Familiarity with PCIe protocols and link training process
  • Experience with PCIe electric compliance tests
  • Experience with Windows/ACPI/UEFI (preferred)
  • MS in EE/CS preferred
