The Hardware Security team is seeking Digital Design Engineers with Security experience in San Diego, CA. The Security team works on cutting edge digital Security IP for use in premium tier Snapdragon chipsets.
This is a high level, high profile position, requiring interaction with cross-functional teams. The work will expose the candidate to all aspects of Hardware Security Product design flow, including Architecture, IP development, Security Certifications, Cryptography, Fault Injection, Side-Channel Analysis, Countermeasures, Silicon Testing and other security product aspects.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in ASIC design
- Preferred experience with security designs and concepts (crypto, access control, fault and side channel hardening, random number generators, certifications, etc)
- Experience and understanding of ASIC design flow: Architecture, Microarchitecture, verilog/system-verilog RTL design, Clock Domain Crossings, DFT, synthesis, and timing closure
- Problem solving, strong communication and teamwork skills
- Self-driven, able to work with minimum supervision
Stand out of the crowd:
- Strong familiarity with symmetric and asymmetric cryptographic algorithms (e.g. AES, DES, SHA, RSA), implementation and use models within high level protocols
- Ability to identify security threats, weaknesses, propose countermeasures, evaluate resolutions, understand, and interpret government standards
- Exposure to security concepts and implementation techniques
- Experience with RNG, PUF, Error correction codes
- Experience with fault injection, side channel analysis, countermeasures
- Experience with security certifications
- Experience with root of trust, provisioning
- Experience with system level architecture, analog design, and silicon test
- Experience with High-speed, Low Area, and Low Power architectures
- Experience in verification and modeling is a plus
- PhD or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering Preferred
