Qualcomm Technologies is seeking a Staff-level Automotive Demo Platform Engineer to drive the next generation of Snapdragon products in the automotive sector. This role offers a unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge embedded automotive software development, focusing on both ADAS and infotainment systems. The position involves hands-on system embedded software design and development, working closely with multiple technology teams, Tier 1 suppliers, OEMs, and industry partners.

The role spans across the entire software stack, including applications, Android user spaces, real-time Linux, and Qualcomm Ride Vision Autonomous driving stack. You'll be responsible for developing, integrating, debugging, and demonstrating various software stacks on Qualcomm reference platforms. The position requires deep expertise in C/C++ programming, real-time operating systems, and embedded systems, along with practical knowledge of power and performance optimization.

As a Staff Engineer, you'll work independently with minimal supervision and provide guidance to other team members. The role involves significant decision-making that affects work beyond the immediate team. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams across multiple locations, requiring excellent communication and leadership skills to coordinate complex projects and demonstrations.

Responsibilities For Automotive Demo Platform Engineer – Staff Engineer

  • Software design and development, integration, debugging and demonstration of Automotive software
  • Work on various technologies areas in ADAS and Infotainment in the Framework and application layers
  • Development/testing of new end to end use cases on prototype and demo vehicles
  • Lead work with various teams to collect requirements and demonstrate automotive use-cases
  • Debug and fix complex problems involving multiple modules from framework to hardware
  • System performance estimation and characterization for concurrent use cases

Requirements For Automotive Demo Platform Engineer – Staff Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of Software Engineering experience
  • 2+ years of work experience with Programming Languages such as C, C++, Java, Python
  • C/C++ and JAVA programming skills with good understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms
  • Experience with RTOS and Hypervisor (e.g., QNX)
  • Experience using git for development
  • ARM processors and/or embedded software development experience
  • 4+ Years experience with architectural capability analysis
  • Experience with software development processes such as Automotive SPICE/CMM/ASIL-A
