Engineer, Staff - WLAN System Test

Qualcomm is seeking an Engineer, Staff - WLAN System Test to join their team in Chennai, India. This role requires expertise in WLAN IEEE802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax testing, with a focus on functional, Bluetooth Co-Existence, performance, and IOT WLAN tests. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of networking protocols, experience with traffic generator tools, and proficiency in scripting languages.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct WLAN IEEE802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax testing
• Perform functional, Bluetooth Co-Existence, performance, and IOT WLAN tests
• Utilize traffic generator tools like Spirent, Ixia, Chariot, and Veriwave
• Develop and maintain automation scripts using Python, Perl, or TCL
• Analyze network traffic using tools such as Wireshark and Ethereal
• Work with Windows and Linux operating systems

Required Qualifications:

• 10+ years of experience post BE/B.Tech or ME/M.Tech
• Strong knowledge of Layer 1, 2, 3, and IEEE802.11 a/b/g/n/ac/ax protocols
• Familiarity with WPA2/WPA3, MU-MIMO, OFDMA, Beamforming, and Roaming
• Experience with RFC2544, RFC2889, and RFC3918 tests
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Perl, or TCL)
• Understanding of Ethernet and wired networking (added advantage)
• Ability to handle independent projects with strong analytical skills
