Description For Gaming Software Engineer

As a Qualcomm Software Engineer, you will design, develop, create, modify, and validate embedded and cloud edge software, applications, and/or specialized utility programs that launch cutting-edge, world class products that meet and exceed customer needs. Qualcomm Software Engineers collaborate with systems, hardware, architecture, test engineers, and other teams to design system-level software solutions and obtain information on performance requirements and interfaces.

The Gaming Software Engineer role at Qualcomm China focuses on commercializing gaming features, optimizing game performance and power, conducting competitive analysis, and working with internal teams on feature evaluation and commercialization. This position requires excellent C/C++ programming skills, good communication skills, and the ability to learn quickly. Experience in game performance and power analysis, 3D graphics (GLES, Vulkan, or DX), and advanced rendering technology is a plus.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Commercialize gaming features, such as Super resolution, frame interpolation etc.
  2. Work on game optimization including both performance and power.
  3. Work on competitive analysis, including both CPU and GPU.
  4. Work with internal team on feature evaluation, and commercialization.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
  • Excellent skill in C/C++ programming
  • Good communication skills and team player attitude
  • Ability to learn quickly with high motivation
  • Experience in game performance and power analysis (plus)
  • Experience in 3D graphics (GLES, Vulkan, or DX) (plus)
  • Experience in advanced rendering technology, including both traditional rasterizer and ray tracing pipeline (plus)
  • Ability to read/write English documents (good listening and oral English are a plus)
