Power & Limits Management System Software Engineer, Sr. Staff

The position focuses on optimizing power and constrained performance of next-generation cloud accelerators, particularly in the context of AI workloads. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing complex system-level AI use cases involving Computer Vision Networks, Recommendation Systems, and Gen AI workloads. They will work closely with various ecosystem stakeholders to optimize power and constrained performance of AI workloads on Qualcomm's cutting-edge inference accelerators.

Key responsibilities include developing algorithms for power consumption and thermal performance optimization, implementing system-level software optimizations using hardware and software power/thermal management techniques, and exploring advanced machine learning techniques for power and limits management problems. The role requires extensive collaboration with System engineers, Software and Hardware developers in a world-class team.

The ideal candidate should possess at least 8 years of experience in software engineering, with strong expertise in languages such as C, C++, Python, and ARM assembly. Deep understanding of ARM architecture, System On Chip concepts, and experience with Power/Thermal/Performance optimizations are crucial. Prior experience with AI use cases and products is highly valued.

Qualcomm offers a highly competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $162,600 - $244,000, along with annual bonuses and RSU grants.
