Staff Cyber Security Engineer – Top Secret Clearance Required (San Diego)

Qualcomm's Government Technologies (QGOV) division develops special products based on its wireless terrestrial and satellite communication technologies for the military, federal, local, and foreign governments. As a Cyber Security Engineer, you will work on an Information Security and Risk Management team dedicated to securing Qualcomm's Government business unit. You'll have the opportunity to work with cutting edge tools and grow your skills across the entire spectrum of Cyber Security while proactively protecting, shielding and defending the business unit from cyber threats.

Key Requirements:

• U.S. citizenship and an active U.S. Government security clearance are required
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field and 4+ years of cybersecurity-relevant work experience, OR High school diploma or equivalent and 5+ years of cybersecurity-relevant work experience
• Ability to frequently transport and install equipment up to 40 lbs

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree in computer science, Information Systems or related field
• 3+ years of experience in one or more of the following:
  • Security Engineering, including security requirement definition and architecture development
  • Defining software and application controls
  • Security Automation
  • Cloud Security Architecture and Tooling
  • Configuration management
  • Defining host and network controls
  • Endpoint protection software
  • Vulnerability scanning tools
