Description For System Test and Application Engineer (WoS)
Qualcomm Communication Technologies Ltd. is seeking a System Test and Application Engineer (WoS) for their Engineering Group, specifically in Hardware Applications Engineering. The role involves laptop function/performance system testing, issue troubleshooting, customer device power optimization and measurement, digital system HW schematic and layout review for Laptop/Tablet, system bring-up support in both power and digital system, and application note and technical memo publishing.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting laptop function/performance system testing and issue troubleshooting
- Supporting customer device power optimization and measurement
- Reviewing digital system HW schematic and layout for Laptop/Tablet
- Providing system bring-up support in both power and digital systems
- Publishing application notes and technical memos
The ideal candidate should have:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field
- 2+ years of experience in the laptop/tablet industry
- Strong understanding of high-speed digital interfaces (USB, PCIE, DP, MIPI, etc.)
- Familiarity with high-speed signal protocols and specifications
- Experience with equipment including Oscilloscope, VNA, electronic load, and power supply
- Ability to conduct log analyses and implement basic testing plans
- Familiarity with digital design tools like OrCAD, Allegro, and Power PCB
- Solid knowledge and experience with digital system design
- Experience in ARM-based HW system and peripheral design (preferred)
- Good communication skills in both Chinese and English
- Excellent analytical skills and eagerness to develop technical skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and self-motivation
