Staff Infrastructure Security Software Engineer

Quora, a leading knowledge-sharing platform with over 400M monthly unique visitors, is seeking a Staff Infrastructure Security Software Engineer to join their remote-first company. This role is part of the newly created Security Engineering Team, focusing on both Quora and Poe platforms. The position offers a competitive salary range of $155,656 - $267,615 USD plus equity and benefits for US-based applicants.

The ideal candidate will be a skilled software engineer with expertise in either Cloud Infrastructure Security, Automation and Secure Development Practices, or Linux/System Security. You'll be responsible for securing large-scale cloud environments, particularly AWS, implementing security-as-code practices, and developing robust protections for Quora's products, infrastructure, and people.

Key responsibilities include partnering with engineering teams on architecture reviews, establishing threat models, developing security tools, and driving security policies. The role requires strong technical skills in AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud-native security practices, along with the ability to automate security processes and integrate security tools into CI/CD pipelines.
