Rackspace is seeking a Cloud Practice Engineer III & IV specializing in AWS and DevOps for their Bangalore, India office. This hybrid role is part of the Public Cloud - Offerings and Delivery – Cloud Infra Services team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing the organization's cloud strategy, supporting cloud implementation, and working on various AWS and DevOps projects.
Key responsibilities include creating well-designed software features, writing infrastructure as code, implementing automation and DevOps best practices, and collaborating with customers and team members to deliver cloud-based solutions. The role requires extensive knowledge of cloud services, proficiency in scripting languages, and experience with CI/CD pipelines, IaC, and various cloud technologies.
The successful candidate will have strong communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. They will serve as a technical advisor, troubleshoot complex issues, and work on a wide range of cloud infrastructure and DevOps projects.

Responsibilities For Cloud Practice Engineer III & IV (AWS + DevOps)
- Implement organization's cloud strategy from a technical perspective
- Support development and execution of cloud implementation strategy
- Create well-designed, documented, and tested software features
- Identify and address product bugs, deficiencies, and performance bottlenecks
- Work with customer engineering teams on various projects
- Write infrastructure as code (CloudFormation, Terraform)
- Implement automation/DevOps best practices for CI/CD, IaC, Containerization
- Perform Linux/Windows administration, automated deployments, scripting (Bash/PowerShell/Python)
- Collaborate with fellow Rackers and customer key stakeholders to deliver projects
- Serve as a technical advisor and perform troubleshooting to resolve technical challenges for customers
Requirements For Cloud Practice Engineer III & IV (AWS + DevOps)
- Extensive knowledge of cloud services, methodologies, best practices, and tools
- Solid understanding of Cloud infrastructure
- Knowledge about common security frameworks and standards (NIST, HIPAA, PCI, etc)
- Proficiency in scripting/programming languages and configuration management
- Experience with Continuous Integration / Continuous Deployment
- Familiarity with version control systems (Git-based)
- Experience with artifact repository management tools
- Ability to implement CI services and design/implement CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with Linux or Windows OS
- Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
- Knowledge of Identity Access Management (IAM)
- Understanding of cloud security, networking, compute (VM, Container platform, Function)
- Experience with data storage, databases, configuration management, and secret management
- Knowledge of monitoring, logging, and message queues
