Staff Android Engineer

Reddit is seeking a Staff Android Engineer to join their Gold and Contributor Program team. This innovative initiative allows users to convert Reddit Gold into real money through the "Contributor Program." As a key member, you'll shape the program's future, pushing product and tech boundaries.

The role involves:

• Designing, building, and shipping Android client features for users to monetize their contributions on Reddit.
• Balancing speed with quality while quickly building brand-new products.
• Contributing to team strategy and planning for the future.
• Communicating effectively across disciplines, working closely with product managers and designers.

Key qualifications include:

• 5+ years of mobile development experience with multiple parts of the Android stack.
• Proficiency in Kotlin, with experience in Jetpack Compose strongly preferred.
• Ability to design and implement complex distributed systems operating under high load.
• Entrepreneurial spirit and self-direction in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration in a fully-remote environment.
