Senior Software Engineer, Data Infrastructure

Roblox is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join their Data Infrastructure team within the Growth Group. This role offers an exciting opportunity to shape the future of human interaction and solve unique technical challenges at scale.

As a key member of the Analytics team, you'll be instrumental in developing large-scale infrastructure to analyze user behavior from 200 million monthly users. You'll work on implementing the vision for analytics at exabyte scale, ensuring compliance with regulations and privacy concerns, and developing systems for data processing both on cloud and in Roblox Data Centers.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Implementing analytics solutions for compute and storage at massive scale
• Ensuring data usage compliance with regulations and privacy concerns
• Developing tools for cloud and on-premises data processing
• Contributing to open source communities for systems developed
• Designing and implementing next-generation features for scalability, reliability, and performance
• Working with cutting-edge technologies like Spark and Kubernetes

The ideal candidate will have:

• 2-5 years of experience in building and scaling reliable distributed systems
• Proficiency in Java, C#, or Go
• A drive to learn, tackle challenges, and deliver results
• Collaborative spirit to work with cross-functional teams

Roblox offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary range of $189,110 - $233,840 USD, along with equity compensation and comprehensive benefits. The role is based in San Mateo, CA, with a hybrid work model (in-office Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, optional Monday and Friday).
