Senior Software Engineer - Fraud

Roblox is seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Fraud prevention to join their team. This high-impact role is crucial for protecting Roblox's virtual marketplace, which handles over 4 million transactions daily and enables top developers to earn millions annually.

As an Economy Fraud engineer, you'll be at the forefront of defending Roblox from various types of fraud, including purchasing and selling virtual items, real-time bidding of advertising slots, and payment fraud. Your innovative solutions will be critical for the well-being of the Roblox community and the company's future.

Key responsibilities include:

• Developing anti-fraud and abuse solutions for web, mobile, and 3D environments
• Creating backend services, fraud platform components, and pipelines
• Contributing to the Technical Roadmap and Risk Defense strategy as a Tech Lead
• Performing data analysis to understand the Fraud & Abuse domain
• Bridging communication between backend engineers, data scientists, and ML engineers

The ideal candidate will have:

• 4+ years of experience with scalable, distributed systems
• Strong expertise in large-scale, data-driven architecture and API design
• Experience in risk prevention, machine learning, or analytical work
• A Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field
