Salesforce is seeking a Senior Director of Technical Program Management to lead their Cloud Economics and Capacity Management initiatives. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on program management, overseeing critical infrastructure operations across Salesforce Core Products, Marketing Cloud, and Commerce Cloud. The position requires an experienced leader who can navigate complex technical landscapes while managing and developing teams of Technical Program Managers (TPMs).
The role involves orchestrating multi-year, large-scale programs focused on building, maintaining, decommissioning, and migrating data centers. These infrastructure components are fundamental to Salesforce's cloud services and directly impact customer success. The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of program management experience, with deep knowledge of data center operations and SaaS product development.
Working from either San Francisco or Bellevue offices, this hybrid position requires quarterly office presence. The role demands someone who can thrive in a dynamic environment, balance strategic thinking with tactical execution, and effectively communicate across all organizational levels. Responsibilities For Senior Director, Technical Program Management: Cloud Economics and Capacity Management
- Lead TPM teams in Cloud Economics and Capacity Management portfolio
- Drive multi-year large-scale programs for data centers
- Lead Steering Committee meetings with key stakeholders
- Develop partnerships with key functional stakeholders
- Drive workgroup alignment meetings
- Provide visibility to program status
- Manage program dependencies across multiple teams
- Anticipate and remove obstacles
- Provide monthly program reviews
- Create collaborative environment fostering creativity and innovation
Requirements For Senior Director, Technical Program Management: Cloud Economics and Capacity Management
- 15+ years experience managing large complex programs/projects using Agile/Scrum, Kanban
- 8+ years of solution management experience for software or SaaS
- 6+ years of experience leading engineering and cross functional teams
- 5+ years implementing and managing SaaS product development programs
- 3+ years of Direct People Management Experience
- Deep understanding of Data Center Operations
- Technical degree required
- Must be willing to work Pacific Coast time zone
- Experience with Portfolio Management
- Strong organizational and communication skills
