Description For Senior Relationship Manager - Private Equity Practice

Salesforce's Global Private Equity & VC Practice is seeking a Senior Relationship Manager for their Private Equity Practice. This role involves supporting the growth of strategic Private Equity (PE) partnerships, deepening PE relationships, and accelerating value creation for PE firms and their portfolio companies. The ideal candidate will develop unique perspectives on value creation opportunities, lead robust analyses, and contribute to customer-facing engagements. Key responsibilities include managing relationships with PE partners, contributing to due diligence processes, collaborating with sales teams, and mentoring junior team members. The role requires 8-10 years of experience in private equity, consulting, or related fields, with strong analytical, communication, and strategic skills. This position offers the opportunity to work with a leading CRM platform, influence high-level decisions, and drive growth in the PE sector. The role is office-flexible, with an expectation to be in-office (New York and Boston) 3 days per week and involves travel >30% of the time.

Responsibilities For Senior Relationship Manager - Private Equity Practice

  • Support senior team in managing relationships with strategic Private Equity Partners
  • Act as an advocate for the partnership within the Private Equity firm and at Salesforce
  • Understand Salesforce product suite and ideate optimal solutions for Private Equity portfolio companies
  • Contribute to Private Equity due diligence processes
  • Collaborate with alliances and sales teams
  • Support execution of go-to-market plans for each Private Equity partner
  • Accelerate opportunities and drive them to closure
  • Support sales account managers to drive value creation and grow pipeline
  • Contribute to internal and external portfolio performance reviews
  • Own strategic projects for the Private Equity Practice
  • Mentor and guide Analysts, Associates and Senior Associates

Requirements For Senior Relationship Manager - Private Equity Practice

  • 8-10 years of experience in private equity/credit, venture capital, premier consulting, investment bank, M&A, strategy, enterprise software, or digital transformation
  • Experience influencing decisions in corporate transactions with public and private investment teams
  • Experience working internationally
  • Exposure to working at the C-level
  • Exceptional communication, strategic, analytical, influencing, and consulting skills
  • High tolerance for ambiguity
  • Strong work ethic and personal drive
  • Superior ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
  • Willingness to travel >30% of the time
