Description For Software Engineering LMTS

Salesforce is seeking a Software Engineering LMTS to join their Platform Trust Engineering team, focusing on Go To Market Automation (GTMA). This role is crucial in ensuring service reliability and customer satisfaction. The GTMA platform is a new initiative that will transform how Salesforce sells products by providing customers with flexible management of buying, budgeting, and consuming usage entitlements.

As a Platform Trust Engineer, you'll be part of a follow-the-sun engineering team responsible for proactive service health monitoring and issue resolution. The role combines technical expertise with customer advocacy, requiring strong problem-solving abilities and communication skills. You'll work on critical production systems, implement monitoring solutions, and contribute to service improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities For Software Engineering LMTS

  • Respond to Production Issues through triaging, reproducing, and implementing solutions
  • Monitor Critical Service Signals and Improve Services' Availability
  • Design improvements to existing features
  • Work in partnership with the product engineering team
  • Provide feedback on existing and upcoming features
  • Master development process, culture and code base
  • Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes
  • Present designs to internal/external groups
  • Develop test strategies and design automation frameworks
  • Participate in the team's on-call rotation

Requirements For Software Engineering LMTS

Java
JavaScript
Node.js
  • Related technical degree required
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Deep knowledge of object oriented programming
  • Proficiency with monitoring software (such as New Relic)
  • High proficiency in high-level programming language and web framework
  • Understanding of web technologies (JavaScript, CSS, HTML5, XML, JSON, Ajax)
  • Understanding of Database technologies (SQL, PL/SQL)
  • Experience in automated testing (Java, JUnit, JSUnit, Selenium)
  • Strong communication skills
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field (preferred)
  • Experience with Agile software development (preferred)
  • Experience building highly scalable web applications (preferred)
