Description For Software Engineering – LMTS

Join our dynamic team at Salesforce and make a real impact as a Platform Production Support (Trust) Full-Stack Software Engineer – LMTS. Our Platform Trust Engineers ensure that once features have been released to customers, our team of empowered, follow-the-sun engineers proactively monitor service health, ideally find and fix problems before our customers notice issues, and thereby deliver exceptional experiences to our customers.

The initial focus will be on "Go To Market Automation" (GTMA), building and launching a new platform within Salesforce. This platform will provide customers with flexibility to manage how they buy, budget, and consume usage entitlements across their Salesforce investment. GTMA will offer transparency for customers to track usage across products, making it easy to optimize their spend through frictionless self-service experiences.

As part of this role, you will:

  • Respond to Production Issues
  • Monitor Critical Service Signals and Improve Services' Availability
  • Design improvements to existing features
  • Work in partnership with the product engineering team
  • Act as a Customer Advocate and Subject Matter Expert
  • Master our development process, culture, and code base
  • Mentor others in development technologies, tools, and processes
  • Develop test strategies and design automation frameworks
  • Participate in the team's on-call rotation

Required Skills:

  • Related technical degree
  • 5+ years of professional software development experience
  • Deep knowledge of object-oriented programming
  • Proficiency with monitoring software and best practices
  • High proficiency in at least one high-level programming language and web framework
  • Understanding of web technologies and database technologies
  • Experience in automated testing
  • Strong communication skills
  • Passion for ensuring exceptional customer experience

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience building highly scalable web applications
  • Experience with Agile software development and test-driven development
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent field
  • Ability to work independently
  • Desire to drive problems to closure
