Samsara, a pioneer in Connected Operations™ Cloud (NYSE: IOT), is seeking a Senior Security Engineer II for Enterprise Security to join their team. This role is crucial in building and maintaining Samsara's core security infrastructure, working with a global engineering team to develop a world-class security engineering program.
The position involves building low-friction security solutions, developing automated alerting and response capabilities, and driving insights around potentially malicious activity in production environments. You'll be responsible for creating tools and workflows from scratch, maintaining active programs, and integrating security into company processes.
As a senior member of the team, you'll have the opportunity to mentor junior engineers and help develop their security skills. The role requires expertise in enterprise security engineering best practices, strong Python scripting abilities, and experience with various security platforms like Crowdstrike, Zscaler, and Wiz.

This remote position is open to candidates residing in the US, with some location exceptions. Responsibilities For Senior Security Engineer - Enterprise Security
- Own and drive execution of multiple key enterprise security systems
- Write clear documentation and runbooks for enterprise security workflows
- Collaborate with Engineering, IT, and Security teams
- Assist Security Operations team during investigations
- Partner with engineering teams to triage and support remediation of vulnerabilities
- Mentor engineers in the Security team
- Champion and role model Samsara's cultural principles
Requirements For Senior Security Engineer - Enterprise Security
- 8+ years of relevant experience with 5+ years in Enterprise Security specific role
- Deep expertise in enterprise security engineering best practices
- Strong scripting skills with Python
- Experience building, integrating, and maintaining enterprise security tools
