Description For Data Engineer / ML Ops

Sensmore is revolutionizing the automation of heavy machinery through their innovative Physical AI technology. As a Data Engineer/ML Ops professional, you'll be at the forefront of transforming how large machines like wheel loaders operate autonomously in dynamic environments. The role combines traditional data engineering with cutting-edge ML Ops practices, working with complex sensor arrays including radar, LiDAR, and cameras.

You'll be responsible for designing and maintaining the crucial data infrastructure that powers Sensmore's embodied AI and Vision-Language-Action Models (VLAMs). This involves creating robust data pipelines, implementing scalable storage solutions, and ensuring seamless integration of ML Ops workflows. The position requires expertise in cloud platforms, Python, SQL, and big data frameworks, along with a strong understanding of distributed systems.

The company, backed by Point Nine and other Tier 1 investors, offers a unique opportunity to work on physical AI applications in real-world industrial settings. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams of robotics experts, ML engineers, and software developers, contributing to groundbreaking solutions in mining, construction, and adjacent industries.

Working from either the Berlin or Potsdam office, you'll join a dynamic team culture with attractive benefits including stock options and relocation assistance. This role is perfect for someone passionate about combining data engineering with practical robotics applications, offering the chance to directly impact the future of intelligent machinery and autonomous systems.

The ideal candidate brings 3+ years of experience in production data pipelines, strong technical skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Whether you're interested in becoming a technical specialist or team lead, Sensmore offers tailored career growth opportunities while working on some of the most challenging problems in industrial automation.
