Sensor Tower is seeking an Entry-Level Back End Developer (Ruby) to join their R&D Platform & Front End Engineering team. This remote position offers an opportunity to work with large-scale data operations and contribute to building efficient products and features. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in programming and software design, with knowledge of Ruby on Rails or a willingness to learn.
As a Back End Developer at Sensor Tower, you'll be involved in the full development lifecycle, from design to implementation and release. You'll work on feature implementation across the stack, develop high-performance data aggregation pipelines, and collaborate with a distributed team. The role requires skills in RESTful API design, cloud environments, and ideally experience with technologies like MongoDB, TypeScript, and React.js.

Responsibilities For Back End Developer (Ruby) - Entry Level
- Participate in the full development life cycle, including design, implementation, quality polish, and release
- Leverage your strengths and interests to work on full feature implementation from the front end, to the API, all the way to the back end
- Develop and optimize high performance data aggregation and analysis pipelines at scale
Requirements For Back End Developer (Ruby) - Entry Level
- Meaningful github contributions and other coding samples
- Strong foundation in programming, algorithms, and software application design
- Understanding of RESTful systems and the principles of good API design
- Understanding of the basics of cloud environments
- Required: Knowledge of Ruby on Rails (or Python and willing to learn Ruby on Rails)
- Nice to have: Clickhouse, MongoDB, Sidekiq, TypeScript, React.js, ES6
