Description For Software Engineer - Investments Trade Management

Sixth Street is seeking a talented Software Engineer to join their Engineering team, focusing on Investments Trade Management. The role involves partnering with Trading, Operations, and Accounting teams to design, develop, and deploy strategic technology products related to Sixth Street's trading systems. You'll work with multiple asset classes across public and private markets within various fund structures.

As part of the rapidly growing Engineering team, you'll be expected to solve problems with well-architected solutions and help shape the frameworks and patterns used to deliver quality software within their unique investment management business. This is a full-time hybrid role based in Dallas, Houston, or Austin offices.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing software components and services around Sixth Street's trading platform
  • Supporting day-to-day operations of order management workflows in Allvue
  • Delivering scalable solutions for business needs such as portfolio restructuring and cross-system integrations
  • Contributing to all aspects of the SDLC with a focus on cross-functional collaboration

The ideal candidate will have:

  • 4+ years of professional software development experience
  • Experience with order & trade management systems (Allvue preferred)
  • Knowledge of the Investment Management industry and financial products
  • Strong programming skills, with Python experience preferred
  • Experience working with relational data stores
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
