Description For Electrical Engineer (Crew Starship Avionics)

SpaceX is seeking an Electrical Engineer to join their Crew Starship Avionics team, working on revolutionary spacecraft electronics that will enable human missions to the Moon and Mars. This role is part of SpaceX's ambitious Human Landing System project for NASA's Artemis program, focusing on developing sophisticated avionics systems for one of the largest crewed vehicles ever flown in space.

The position offers an unique opportunity to work on cutting-edge space technology, developing critical systems from communications and power to life support and navigation. As part of this fast-moving, world-class team, you'll be responsible for designing and qualifying flight hardware that will directly support astronaut missions, while working alongside highly motivated and talented engineers.

The role requires strong technical skills in electrical engineering, with hands-on experience in circuit design, testing, and validation. You'll be involved in all aspects of the development process, from initial conception through to flight operations. The ideal candidate should have a passion for spaceflight and high-reliability electronics, with the ability to work effectively under pressure to meet critical project milestones.

This is a unique opportunity to be part of SpaceX's mission to make humanity multi-planetary, offering competitive compensation including base salary, stock options, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to work on technology that will literally change the course of human history. The position is based in Hawthorne, CA, and requires compliance with ITAR regulations, meaning candidates must be U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or eligible for required authorizations.
