Sr. Security Software Engineer (Starshield) - Top Secret Clearance

SpaceX is seeking a Sr. Security Software Engineer for their Starshield project, which leverages Starlink technology for national security efforts. The role involves designing and building security infrastructure, developing security features for various systems, and maintaining production systems. The ideal candidate should have experience in software engineering, applied cryptography, network security, and other related fields. Responsibilities include:

• Designing and building security infrastructure for Starshield
• Developing security features for systems including routers, dishes, gateways, and satellites
• Designing security into factory processes
• Maintaining existing production systems and improving security posture
• Building prototypes and identifying security improvements
• Contributing to the mission of providing secure and reliable Internet to underserved communities

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or STEM discipline with 5+ years of experience, or 7+ years of experience without a degree
• Experience with software development languages (Python, C++, Golang)
• Experience designing and implementing security solutions for large-scale infrastructure
• Active Top Secret, Top Secret SCI, or DOE Level Q clearance
