Description For Process Engineer

SRTX (srtxlabs.com) is a technology innovation company in textiles, certified as a B Corp. With a team of 250+ dedicated problem-solvers, SRTX aims to make a real impact on the textile industry and the environment.

As a Process Engineer at SRTX, you'll work closely with the VP of Process Engineering to optimize production processes and support the development of new fiber and polymer products. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Process Optimization & Improvement:

    • Analyze existing fiber and polymer manufacturing processes
    • Implement process improvements
    • Develop and document best practices
  2. Scale-Up & New Product Development:

    • Support scale-up from pilot to full-scale production
    • Ensure new processes meet performance and quality standards
    • Assist in transitioning new technologies into production
  3. Data Analysis & Process Control:

    • Collect, analyze, and interpret process performance data
    • Implement process control methodologies
    • Use data-driven decision-making to improve KPIs
  4. Collaboration & Cross-Functional Support:

    • Work with various teams to ensure seamless process integration
    • Provide technical support and troubleshooting
    • Assist in implementing automation and digital technologies
  5. Documentation & Compliance:

    • Prepare detailed technical documentation
    • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards
    • Support a continuous improvement culture

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering, Polymer Engineering, Materials Science, or related field
  • 3-5 years of experience in fiber, polymer, or textile manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of fiber extrusion and polymer processing
  • Experience in scaling up production processes
  • Proficiency in data analysis and problem-solving methodologies
  • Familiarity with automation and process control systems (a plus)
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
